- IPRA
- means Improved Production Racing Association of Australia Incorporated, ABN 90 645 208 537.
- MRA
- means Motor Racing Australia Pty Ltd, ACN 134 304 822, engaged by IPRA to manage and administer the Category.
- Promoter
- means ARG Events Pty Ltd, ACN 633 759 154.
- Category
- means the IPRA Bathurst Cup, being the Improved Production category managed by MRA on behalf of IPRA.
- Event
- means the 2027 Bathurst 6 Hour at Mount Panorama, Bathurst, NSW, of which the Category forms part of the support program.
- Competitor
- means a person or body that holds a Motorsport Australia Competitor licence acceptable to Motorsport Australia and that has submitted an Expression of Interest and Entry Form for the Category.
- Driver
- means a person holding a Motorsport Australia licence acceptable to Motorsport Australia and entered to drive an automobile in the Competition.
- Competition
- means the competition for the Category conducted as part of the Event.
- EOI
- means an Expression of Interest submitted by a Competitor to seek entry to the Category at the Event.
- Deposit
- means the EOI deposit of $1,750 including GST.
- Entry Fee
- means $3,500 including GST.
- Reserve List
- means the list of Competitors selected by IPRA as reserves for the Category.
- Paddock Area
- means the area within the Event paddock allocated to the Category by the Promoter.
- Hocker
- means a supplied 3 metre by 8 metre marquee within the Paddock Area.
- Officials
- means the Clerk of the Course, Assistant Clerk or Clerks of the Course, the Secretary of the Event, and other Motorsport Australia officials appointed for the Event.
- Regulations
- means the Motorsport Australia National Competition Rules, the Motorsport Australia Manual, the Motorsport Australia Group 3J Improved Production regulations, the Event Supplementary Regulations, any Further Regulations, the IPRA Bathurst Cup Sporting Regulations, and any official instructions issued by Officials.
- Category Manager or CM
- means the person appointed by MRA to manage the Category. For the Event, the CM is Terry Denovan.
- Final Payment Date
- means Friday, 29 January 2027.
- 2.1
These terms form a binding agreement between the Competitor and IPRA for participation in the Category at the Event.
- 2.2
MRA acts as Category Manager and administrator for IPRA and may administer EOIs, Entries, payments, documentation, communications and other matters relating to the Category on IPRA's behalf.
- 2.3
Payments made in connection with an EOI or Entry are made to IPRA. RaceReady may issue tax invoices and receipts on behalf of IPRA using IPRA's details and ABN.
- 2.4
Order of precedence is the Regulations, then these terms, then any Category bulletins issued by MRA on behalf of IPRA.
- 2.5
These terms do not replace any Motorsport Australia disclaimer, waiver, indemnity or other document required by Motorsport Australia, the Promoter or Officials.
- 3.1
The Event is sanctioned under Motorsport Australia and the Regulations apply.
- 3.2
Officials have authority over track and Event operations. Instructions issued by Officials must be followed.
- 3.3
The Competitor must comply with all lawful directions and instructions of the CM, whether verbal or written, and must ensure its Drivers and crew do the same.
- 3.4
Brett and/or Lachlan, acting on behalf of IPRA, may make Category decisions and give instructions to MRA concerning Entries, eligibility, reserves and other Category matters.
- 4.1
EOIs will open on the date notified by IPRA and MRA.
- 4.2
EOIs close at 17:00 AEST on Wednesday, 30 September 2026.
- 4.3
An EOI requires payment of the Deposit. No payment means no EOI.
- 4.4
A Competitor may elect to pay the full Entry Fee when submitting the EOI.
- 4.5
Payment of the Deposit or Entry Fee does not guarantee acceptance into the Category.
- 4.6
EOIs will remain open until the stated closing date and will not close early merely because more EOIs have been received than available positions.
- 4.7
EOIs will be reviewed after the closing date by IPRA.
- 4.8
IPRA intends to advise accepted Competitors and Reserve List Competitors on or about Wednesday, 14 October 2026.
- 4.9
IPRA may accept or reject an EOI in its discretion and is not required to provide reasons for its decision.
- 4.10
The order in which EOIs are received does not determine acceptance.
- 4.11
In considering EOIs, IPRA may have regard to matters including:
- a.the Driver's competition experience;
- b.previous experience at Mount Panorama;
- c.estimated lap time;
- d.Driver and Vehicle eligibility;
- e.the balance between the Under 2 Litre and Over 2 Litre classes;
- f.the composition and suitability of the overall field; and
- g.other information contained in the EOI which IPRA considers relevant.
- 4.12
The maximum field is 55 accepted Entries, subject to track density, the Regulations and the requirements of the Promoter and Motorsport Australia.
- 4.13
Up to five Competitors may initially be placed on the Reserve List.
- 4.14
If an EOI is accepted, the information provided in the EOI becomes the Competitor's official Entry Form.
- 4.15
Entries are not transferable.
- 4.16
A confirmed Entry requires cleared funds by the due dates, completion of all required forms, presentation of the required Motorsport Australia licences, current IPRA membership where required, and compliance of the Vehicle with Motorsport Australia Group 3J and the Regulations.
- 4.17
Acceptance of an EOI does not constitute confirmation that the Driver or Vehicle is eligible under the Regulations.
- 5.1
Entry Fee, $3,500 including GST.
- 5.2
The Deposit forms part of the Entry Fee and is credited against the Entry Fee if the EOI is accepted.
- 5.3
Each accepted Entry includes one 3 metre by 8 metre Hocker in the Paddock Area.
- 5.4
Hockers and paddock structures are supplied and erected by the Event's official supplier. Custom or replacement structures are not permitted unless approved by the Promoter or the Event's official supplier.
- 5.5
Competitors must advise the CM within any deadline notified before the Event if bringing a large transporter requiring extended parking. The notice must include make, model and overall length where requested.
- 5.6
Hire of a Dorian timing transponder is not included in the Entry Fee.
- 5.7
A Competitor may advise MRA that a hire Dorian is required or may use their own compatible unit where accepted by the Event timing provider.
- 5.8
A Competitor hiring a Dorian is responsible for payment, collection, safekeeping and return of the unit, together with any charge for loss or damage.
- 5.9
Accreditation and other Event inclusions will be advised separately when confirmed by the Promoter.
- 6.1
An EOI requires payment of the Deposit of $1,750 including GST. No payment means no EOI.
- 6.2
The Deposit must be paid at the time the EOI is submitted.
- 6.3
Both the EOI and payment must be received in cleared funds no later than 17:00 AEST on 30 September 2026.
- 6.4
The same payment deadline applies to card and direct deposit payments.
- 6.5
Payment methods are card via IPRA's Stripe account or direct deposit to IPRA's nominated Westpac bank account.
- 6.6
Direct deposit payments must use the payment reference specified by RaceReady or MRA.
- 6.7
Funds must clear by the stated deadline. Screenshots, remittance advice or evidence that a transfer has been initiated are not payment until the funds have cleared.
- 6.8
Where a lawful card surcharge or processing charge applies, it will be disclosed before payment and will not exceed the amount permitted by law and the applicable payment provider or card scheme.
- 6.9
If the applicable law, payment provider or card scheme does not permit a card surcharge at the time payment is made, no separate card surcharge will apply.
- 6.10
If an EOI is not accepted into either the field or the Reserve List, the amount paid with the EOI will be refunded less any non-refundable card processing or merchant fee actually incurred by IPRA, to the extent that deduction is permitted by law.
- 6.11
Refunds under clause 6.10 will be processed within 21 days after the Competitor supplies any bank details or other information reasonably required to process the refund.
- 7.1
IPRA may initially appoint up to five Competitors to the Reserve List.
- 7.2
Reserve List Competitors are expected to be advised at approximately the same time as accepted Competitors.
- 7.3
A Competitor placed on the Reserve List will have the Deposit retained while that Competitor remains on the Reserve List.
- 7.4
Placement on the Reserve List does not guarantee an Entry.
- 7.5
A Reserve List Competitor is not required to attend the Event unless offered and accepting an Entry.
- 7.6
If an Entry becomes available, IPRA will determine which eligible Competitor on the Reserve List is offered the Entry.
- 7.7
IPRA may have regard to the circumstances of the vacancy, class balance, location, availability and the overall composition of the field when allocating a vacant Entry.
- 7.8
If a Reserve List Competitor accepts an offered Entry, the outstanding balance of the Entry Fee becomes payable immediately or by the deadline advised by IPRA or MRA at the time of the offer.
- 7.9
Approximately one month before the Event, IPRA may reduce the Reserve List to Competitors who can reasonably attend the Event at short notice.
- 7.10
In doing so, IPRA may remove interstate Competitors from the Reserve List where the timing and distance involved would make attendance at short notice impractical.
- 7.11
A Competitor removed from the Reserve List without being offered an Entry will receive a refund of the Deposit, less any non-refundable card processing or merchant fee where applicable.
- 7.12
A Competitor who was not accepted into either the field or the Reserve List does not remain on the Reserve List.
- 8.1
Competitors must attend all mandatory bump-in, paddock setup, Category sign-on, Drivers briefings and other activities advised in the Regulations, Further Regulations or Event instructions.
- 8.2
Planned on-track sessions for the Category are presently:
- a.One (1) practice session of approximately Twenty-Five (25) to Thirty (30) minutes.
- b.One (1) qualifying session of approximately Twenty (20) minutes.
- c.Four (4) races of approximately Twenty (20) to Twenty-Five (25) minutes.
- 8.3
The schedule may change.
- 8.4
Session number, duration, timing and format remain subject to the final Event schedule, the Promoter, Motorsport Australia, Officials, track conditions, incidents, weather and other operational requirements.
- 8.5
Payment of the Entry Fee does not guarantee a particular amount of track time, number of laps, or number or duration of sessions.
- 8.6
Competitors, Drivers and crew must not access the Paddock Area before the access time advised by the CM or Promoter.
- 8.7
The Paddock Area must be vacated by the departure time advised by the CM or Promoter.
- 9.1
Vehicles must comply with Motorsport Australia Group 3J Improved Production requirements and the Regulations. Scrutineering and eligibility checks may occur at any time.
- 9.2
Each Driver must hold a Motorsport Australia competition licence acceptable for the Event and the Competition.
- 9.3
Provisional licences are not accepted for the Category at Mount Panorama.
- 9.4
A Driver must satisfy any IPRA membership requirements contained in the Regulations.
- 9.5
Acceptance of an EOI, publication on an Entry List, completion of document checks, passing initial scrutiny or participation in an earlier session does not constitute final confirmation of Vehicle eligibility.
- 9.6
IPRA will nominate a technical representative or delegate for Category eligibility matters.
- 9.7
Technical protests, disputes and eligibility matters will be dealt with in accordance with the Regulations.
- 9.8
Fuel, where applicable, is subject to the Event's official fuel supplier terms. Refuelling and fuel storage must comply with the Regulations and safety rules.
- 9.9
The 130% qualifying rule applies to the Category.
- 9.10
The applicable 130% time will be calculated using the relevant official qualifying time under the Sporting Regulations.
- 9.11
For planning purposes only, an estimated fastest qualifying time of 2:18.000 produces a 130% time of 2:59.400.
- 9.12
The estimated times in clause 9.11 do not determine the actual qualifying cut-off and do not guarantee that any Competitor will be permitted to start.
- 9.13
MRA will prepare the IPRA Bathurst Cup Sporting Regulations on behalf of IPRA, incorporating the point score and sporting requirements approved by IPRA.
- 10.1
The Paddock Area allocation is fixed by the Promoter. Teams must fit within the allocation and keep access ways clear.
- 10.2
Each accepted Entry will be allocated one 3 metre by 8 metre Hocker, subject to the final paddock plan.
- 10.3
No camping is permitted in the Paddock Area unless expressly approved by the Promoter.
- 10.4
No sales or promotion of merchandise, products or services are permitted in the Paddock Area without written approval from the Promoter where such approval is required.
- 10.5
Security, the Promoter provides general venue security. Each team is responsible for its own vehicles, tools and equipment.
- 10.6
Damage and cleaning, teams are responsible for damage beyond normal wear and for reasonable cleaning charges.
- 10.7
Non-road registered competition vehicles are prohibited in campground and other public areas unless specifically permitted.
- 10.8
Hazardous substances, storage and use must follow applicable WHS requirements and Event safety rules. A spill kit must be available where required by the Regulations or Event instructions.
- 10.9
Competitors must comply with all transporter parking, paddock access, bump-in and bump-out instructions issued by the CM or Promoter.
- 10.10
Competitors are responsible for damage caused by the Competitor, Driver or crew to Hockers, paddock infrastructure, venue property or supplied equipment beyond normal wear and tear.
- 11.1
Professional conduct is required at all times. Failure to follow instructions, unsafe behaviour, abusive behaviour or conduct detrimental to the safe and orderly conduct of the Event may lead to penalties, exclusion or removal from the venue.
- 11.2
The Promoter may remove any person from the Circuit where permitted under its venue and Event authority.
- 11.3
The Competitor is responsible for ensuring its Drivers and crew comply with the Regulations and all lawful instructions.
- 11.4
IPRA intends to appoint a Driving Standards Advisor for the Category, subject to availability and appointment requirements.
- 11.5
The preferred Driving Standards Advisor is Jessica Nicolson, subject to availability.
- 11.6
The Driving Standards Advisor is intended to work with the Clerk of the Course and Assistant Clerk or Clerks of the Course regarding incidents and driving standards matters.
- 11.7
Appointment of a Driving Standards Advisor does not limit or replace the authority of Officials under the Regulations.
- 12.1
Final Entry Fee due, Friday, 29 January 2027. Funds must clear by the deadline.
- 12.2
If the Final Entry Fee is not paid in full and cleared by the deadline, IPRA may forfeit the Entry and allocate the position to an eligible Competitor on the Reserve List.
- 12.3
If an accepted Competitor withdraws before the Final Payment Date, the Deposit is refunded only if IPRA is able to fill the vacated position with an eligible Competitor from the Reserve List.
- 12.4
If a replacement is secured under clause 12.3, the Deposit will be refunded within 21 days after:
- a.the replacement Entry is confirmed; and
- b.the withdrawing Competitor supplies any bank details or other information reasonably required to process the refund.
- 12.5
If IPRA cannot fill the vacated position from the Reserve List, the Deposit is forfeited in full and will not be refunded.
- 12.6
If a Competitor has paid an amount greater than the Deposit before the Final Payment Date and subsequently withdraws, any amount paid above the Deposit will be refunded, less any applicable non-refundable merchant or card processing fees.
- 12.7
On or after the Final Payment Date, no refund applies to a Competitor who withdraws, except where IPRA determines otherwise in its discretion having regard to exceptional circumstances.
- 12.8
Entries are not transferable. IPRA manages any replacement from the Reserve List.
- 12.9
A Competitor may not privately sell, assign or transfer an Entry or nominate another Competitor to take its place.
- 12.10
Refund processing window, refunds are processed within 21 days after the circumstances giving rise to the refund have been confirmed and any required bank details have been supplied.
- 12.11
Chargebacks, if a chargeback or payment reversal is initiated on an accepted Entry, the Entry may be immediately suspended while the payment dispute is investigated.
- 12.12
A chargeback or payment reversal does not constitute a valid withdrawal and does not avoid the payment, withdrawal or refund provisions of these terms.
- 12.13
The Competitor remains liable for any amount properly payable under these terms and for bank or processor fees actually incurred as a direct result of an unjustified chargeback or payment reversal, to the extent recoverable by law.
- 12.14
IPRA may bar future Entries by the Competitor until all outstanding amounts properly due to IPRA are paid in full.
- 12.15
Payment methods, card through IPRA's Stripe account or direct deposit to IPRA's nominated Westpac account. Funds must clear by the stated deadlines. Screenshots or remittance advice are not payment until cleared.
- 13.1
An Entry is accepted having regard principally to the Competitor and Driver nominated in the EOI.
- 13.2
A change of Driver requires IPRA's prior approval. There is no automatic right to substitute another Driver.
- 13.3
IPRA may approve or refuse a proposed replacement Driver having regard to eligibility, experience and the circumstances of the proposed change.
- 13.4
A change of Vehicle is permitted subject to IPRA's prior approval.
- 13.5
Any replacement Vehicle must comply with Motorsport Australia Group 3J Improved Production requirements and the Regulations.
- 13.6
The Competitor must provide updated Vehicle details, logbook information and any other documentation reasonably required by MRA or IPRA following a Vehicle change.
- 13.7
A Competitor may nominate a first and second preferred competition number in the EOI.
- 13.8
Competition number preferences are not guaranteed. Final number allocation is determined by IPRA or MRA.
- 13.9
The Category consists of the Under 2 Litre and Over 2 Litre classes, subject to the Regulations.
- 13.10
Personal information is collected for administration, payment, safety, Event operations and compliance.
- 13.11
Information may be shared with IPRA, MRA, Motorsport Australia, the Promoter, timing providers and Officials where reasonably required for Event administration, operations and safety.
- 13.12
RaceReady will be used for administration of the Category and may issue tax invoices on behalf of IPRA using IPRA's details.
- 13.13
Results, timing, Entry Lists and media may publish Driver names, Vehicle details, competition numbers, classes, states, sponsor details and images.
- 13.14
Competitors agree to receive operational communications concerning the EOI and Event by email, SMS and other electronic means used by RaceReady.
- 13.15
The Category website at iprabathurstcup.com will be used as a central information point and may contain EOI and Entry information, Regulations, competitor information, Entry Lists, grid sheets, results and other Event documents.
- 13.16
Competitors are responsible for ensuring their contact details remain current and for reading communications and documents issued in relation to the Event.
- 14.1
IPRA, through MRA as Category Manager, may update these terms for accuracy, changes in law, changes in the Regulations, safety or operational reasons.
- 14.2
Material changes will be posted on the Category website and, where practicable, notified by email to accepted Competitors.
- 14.3
Changes will not remove core inclusions already paid for except where required by the Promoter, Officials, Motorsport Australia, venue, law, safety requirements or circumstances beyond IPRA's reasonable control.
- 14.4
The Promoter, Motorsport Australia, Officials, IPRA or MRA may, within their respective authority, alter the Competition or Event where reasonably required.
- 14.5
The Competition or Event may be postponed, abandoned or cancelled because of weather, safety, venue availability, government direction, regulatory requirements, force majeure, or a decision of the Promoter or Motorsport Australia.
- 14.6
If the entire Competition or Event is cancelled before commencement, any refund payable will be determined by IPRA having regard to:
- a.amounts recovered or recoverable by IPRA from the Promoter and suppliers;
- b.non-recoverable costs already reasonably incurred in preparing for the Event; and
- c.any rights of the Competitor which cannot lawfully be excluded.
- 14.7
The shortening, delay, abandonment or cancellation of an individual session does not automatically entitle a Competitor to a refund.
- 15.1
Governing law, New South Wales. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
- 15.2
Australian Consumer Law, nothing in these terms limits any rights under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, Schedule 2, that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
- 15.3
Severability, if any provision is invalid or unenforceable it is severed and the remainder continues in force.
- 15.4
Entire agreement, these terms constitute the entire agreement between the Competitor and IPRA for the matters covered and supersede prior communications on those matters.
- 15.5
Waiver, a failure to exercise or a delay in exercising a right is not a waiver. A waiver must be in writing.
- 15.6
Assignment, the Competitor must not assign its rights or obligations without IPRA's written consent.
- 15.7
IPRA may perform its obligations and exercise its administrative rights under these terms through MRA as Category Manager.
- 15.8
Nothing in these terms limits the authority of Motorsport Australia, the Promoter or Officials under the Regulations.
- 16.1
By submitting an EOI, allowing it to be accepted by IPRA, or paying the Entry Fee, the Competitor agrees to these terms, the Regulations and any official instructions.
- 16.2
By submitting an EOI, the Competitor acknowledges that:
- a.submission of an EOI does not guarantee acceptance;
- b.payment of the Deposit or Entry Fee does not guarantee acceptance;
- c.the information provided in the EOI is true and correct to the best of the Competitor's knowledge;
- d.the Competitor has read and understood the withdrawal and refund provisions contained in these terms;
- e.if accepted, the Competitor must comply with the Regulations and all applicable Event requirements; and
- f.the Competitor is responsible for ensuring its Driver and crew are aware of and comply with the requirements applicable to them.
